Carolina

Carolina was a shy stray being cared for by people in her neighborhood.  When it became obvious that she was pregnant in the winter of 2017 Whiskers was called in to help.  She delivered her two kittens in the warmth and safety of a Whiskers foster home.  She was a wonderful mother who raised her babies to be strong and healhy. They were socialized and adopted into loving homes.  Carolina then came to the shelter so we could give her a safe place to live while we tried to socialie her. Carolina is scared of people, but loves the company of other cats.  She's usually found in the Senior Room at the shelter, tucked away and cuddled up with another kitty.  We work on socializing her, but we also respect her space and her personality.  If she is never socialized enough to be adopted, she will live at Whiskers where she will continue to provide a comforting, motherly presense to the other cats who need it.  Although her kittens have moved on, Carolina continues to mother the cats of the Senior Room.  Please sponsor Carolina to honor her nurturing spirit and to allow Whiskers to continue to rescue the mother cats that often get left behind.
