Felicia

Felicia is a gorgeous, Maine Coon mix girl who was abandoned outside when her people got a dog.  Kind neighbors took care of her until Whiskers could take her in.  She came to us in a badly neglected state, but we have nourished her and have had her medical needs assessed.  Our vet found that she has osteoarthritis in her spine which causes her difficulty in moving about.  She will require pain medication and a supplement to help with her arthritis for the rest of her life.  She also needs our help with grooming since she's not able to care for herself the way she would like to.  Our volunteers provide her with all the care she needs and she's living a good life in the Senior Room at the shelter.  She gets along well with the other cats and is often found lounging with them.  While she is listed for adoption, her special needs make her a difficult cat to adopt because she will require life-long care.  If she's not adopted she will live out her life at Whiskers with all the love and care of the volunteers.  She was born in 2010 so she could be with us for many more years.  Please consider spronsoring Felicia so we can continue to help cats like her who need special care.

Update 2022!! Felicia was taken home as a medical foster and her family loved her so much they adopted her. She is now living her best life in her forever home.
