Folger

In 2021, when Folger developed urinary crystals and required surgery his owner asked the vet to euthanize him rather that perform the surgery. The vet asked the owner to surrender him instead, and let Whiskers get him the care that he needed since he was only about 3 years old and had a lot of life left to live. Thankfully, they turned him over and Whiskers was able to get him the surgery he needed. He recovered well, and can live a long, healthy life as long as he is fed the proper food to prevent further urinary crystals. He's a great big guy, over 15 pounds, and has a personality as large as his body. He can be bossy with other cats and while he's friendly with people, he also is opinionate and will let you know exactly what he wants and doesn't want. We have faith that his forever person will come along and adopt him, but until that time Whiskers will continue to provide him with all the love and care he needs.

UPDATE - October 2022- Folger has been adopted! He is loving life as the only, very spoiled cat in the homes of one of our volunteers.
