Ember

Ember & Her Five Little Ones

Ember is a tiny young cat who found herself abandoned in the city — pregnant and on her own.

When it was time to have her babies, she found a safe hiding place in an overgrown backyard and gave birth to five kittens: two black and three orange.

With five little mouths depending on her, Ember discovered a nearby feeding station where food was put out for feral cats. She would leave her babies tucked safely away, make her way there to eat, and then return to them.

Somehow, this tiny, thin mama managed to keep all five of her babies safe.

And despite everything she has been through, Ember absolutely loves people. She rubs against your legs, soaks up attention, and would really prefer that you stay right there with her. It’s hard not to wonder how such a sweet, affectionate young cat ended up alone on the streets in the first place.

Ember did an extraordinary job protecting her little family when they had no one else to depend on. Now she and her five babies need people who will care about them.
