Curtis
Curtis was rescued in 2006 as a feral kitten living on the streets with his twin sister Cassidy. He spent three months in a foster home, but then his foster person passed away so he came to the shelter. Over the years he has learned to not only trust people, but he now seeks them out for love and affection. After waiting 11 years he was finally selected for adoption in early 2017, but just days before going home he became suddenly ill. The vets weren't quite sure what was going on, but things did not look good. As things progressed we found he had an issue with his eye and unfortunately, it had to be surgically removed. Cancer was suspected, but luckily, the biopsy came back and showed it was just a massive abscess and no evidence of cancer was found. He is recuperating in a foster home and is back to his old, loving self. His vet bills have cost Whiskers about $3000 and we could use your help in covering the cost of his care. Please consider sponsoring this sweet boy who now has a second chance at living a wonderful life. UPDATE: Sadly, although Curtis did not have cancer in his eye, he did have another very aggressive form of cancer elsewhere and he lost his battle with the disease in May 2017. Thank you for all who sponsored him. Your supoorted helped ensure that Whiskers could provide him with the best possible medical care in his time of need.
