Katmandu

Katmandu was rescued from a life of living outdoors during the frigid winter of 2018. He settled in to shelter life, but didn't completely trust the other cats or the volunteers for quite some time. We don't know what this big burly guy went through while abandoned outside, but It certainly impacted his ability to trust. He made an amazing transformation over the years and eventually became a lap cat. He's often been on the short list of potential cats for adopters, but he always end up being the second choice and he hasn't yet found his forever home. In 2022 he developed a condition that required him to be on special food and at that time he was moved to a foster home. He is still up for adoption and may some day find his forever home, but until that time he will be well-loved and cared for in his foster home. Whiskers gives a second chance to cats like Katmandu who have gone through so much in life and deserve a loving, caring place to live out their lives.
